Time to Fire Solution Point
« on: August 30, 2012, 06:44:05 AM »
Hello,

In late war some fighter planes I fly take forever to get them to a point of being in a position to get a shot in, i.e. get a firing solution with.  If all things being equal (and  you are not vulching from 5k+ above the opponent etc.) some include A6M, F4F....   While others have architecture hindrances.  For instance, when I take a shot at an opponent while flying an LA5 they are usually below the cowling.  This is tricky and tough for me.

Which planes do you feel are the best at quickly getting to the point where you can actually take a kill shot with?

Thanks,

Slade

Late war with some speed you're probably best looking at the Ki-84 and Spitfire Mk XVI.

F4U has good sight in the front, the gun sight is quite high up as long as you aren't in the F4U-1.
