he should have his badge and gun taken immediately from him. 
If that were the case we'd have a shortage of patrolmen.
I've noticed though my traffic stops that young cops tend to act this way but older ones tend not to.
Highway patrolmen tend not to as well and seem generally more professional as well as friendly. That's why I voted yes to issue them assault rifles for their cars but joined a protest when one of the local police depts began carrying more than just tasers, pepperspray and clubs.
The dept I protested had me biased though because a few years before I was going to buy a motorcycle from a friend. The bike was parked in a public ramp for 9 months and after I made my offer the owner noticed someone had stolen it at some point since he'd last parked it 9 months beforehand.
These cops (who are trusted to carry guns now) drug me down to the station and did the whole 'good cop / bad cop' thing and asked me the same 2 or 3 questions over and over for about 3 hours until I ran out of patience, asked if I was under arrest, told them they were stupid, and walked out.
Now believe it or not this is only the 2nd worst police dept where I live. Hands down the worst are the federal cops at the V.A. I have nothing but disrespect for those pTARDS.
