Help resolve the Odds
« on: March 03, 2001, 08:16:00 PM »
Gents (& Ladies too

I may be way off base, but others I have talked to assure me that I am not.

Every few tours, the odds get terrible.
I am sure that other countries have seen the same problem, but at the moment, the ROOKS have a 4:1 enemy:Friendly ratio.

This is almost completely unplayable.

I honestly don't intend to sound whiney, so I am sorry if I do.

It has been this way the last 4 times I have stepped into the arena. Perhaps my timing is just WAY off.

I was hoping that maybe one of the squads that hops countries each tour could move over to the ROOKS for this tour.

Perhaps, we could also get a few of the country hopping Squads to coordinate between CO's to help aliviate some of this problem in the future?

I would be greatful for any help on this issue.

It seemed like the rooks had slightly better odds last tour and as a result a couple of major squads switched over with no one to take their place.

Ah well. More targets!

AK's were Rook last TOD, no?

They Bish now... might explain some of it.

(Always nice to have the AKs with us as Bish, I gotta say. My K/D doesn't suffer as bad   )

Both the AK's and the MOL's, which were Rook last tour, switched. (one to bish the other to knit)

I believe both squads (and others) move around the countries on a regular rotation.

Yesterday <Sunday> the numbers were pretty even...the rooks were 10 players down and Bish and Nits were within 5. I've seen the MA get way out of balance but, IMO, it's the exception during prime time.

Yes, Sunday was good.
The ROOKS were only down by a few.
And you are correct, Prime time (M-F) Evenings is when it sucks the most.
However, this is only true for the country which does not have one of the squad hoppers.

Perhaps we could figure out who the 4 Largest Squads (with frequent high attendance) and get things to steady out by moving in cooperation?

M.O.L. and AK are 2 obvious choices.

The other concern I know that I have is that I wouldn't want to be an AK thinking that I would not get to fly with my buds from the M.O.L.

I believe the M.0.L. are knight this tour, the AKs are Bishop.  While it is a pleasure to fly with the M.0.L., we do not go out of our way to coordinate country rotation with them.  We stick to our own schedule.

We look forward to flying with all squadrons.  Switching countries every tour gives us that opportunity.

I have always liked fighting for the underdogs, and have never wanted to be Rook because they always seamed to have the biggest numbers.
I must say that I now like being Rook and don't mind so much being pounded and gang-banged.
The Rooks are a good bunch and comunicate better than the others.
Being the underdog also means that you never have to drive far to get into a scrap.

Well, MAG-33 is discussing changing countries once a tour...that's 74 members...anyone have a problem with that?

KIDDING...JUST KIDDING!
