staged mission issues
« on: July 25, 2012, 12:36:08 AM »
Did some testing, works pretty well in custom arena.

Some issues with auto assign.

If you check auto assign country, you will never launch, it will continue to say "jimson is not ready, 5 more seconds til brief" over and over.

If you choose a country and auto assign flight it will put you in a plane and launch.

Apparently some Combat Tour elements remain. In both auto assign cases it will assign you to 105th fighter Group flying P-51s, even when no p51s are in the mission and you will launch in a P-38 for example, provided you selected a country and only chose auto assign for flight.

You will get also a message that you are in the 105th even if you chose Axis and launch in a Ju-88 for example.

If you chose auto assign country, you will also get the 105th fighter Group message, but it will never launch.

The 105th message only appears when one of the auto assign features is enabled, not if you choose or (I assume) are manually assigned both your country and flight.

It is still quite usable in custom arenas as long as you don't use auto assign.  :salute

I will also add that if you load a staged mission into the AvA, it over-rides the arena table being used by what ever was used in the mission editor.  However, if you did not select a pre-populated table in the mission editor (like you can), it uses the default table for the map.

Furthermore, it also disables arena admin control functions post-mission requiring a reboot of the arena to reset the issue.
