I figure plenty of you fellows must have driven them, are they any good? I heard they don't have a separate low range, is that true?

No one has any comments? I thought there'd be a few here with former experience and maybe even fondness for the old bus.

Awesome "jeep" and the last of the line used by the military before they brought in the hummer.

Independant front and rear suspension.

The reason the military gave for replacing the jeep was the beating you took in the jeeps so they went with the hummer........which quickly started breaking ball joints and tie rod ends on the trails that the mutt previously traversed with ease.
