Sorry butcher, it escaped me that you guys are still new to FSO. I am sure Top Gun's numbers will be low this month though, that is an issue. Sorry for the misunderstanding <S>

FSO is not a scenario. You do not always get the side assignment that you want. Keep in mind the more setups a squad is Axis raises the probability that the squad will then be switched to allied. For some reason Kommando Notwany is exempt from this, hopefully it will be rectified in future. Also Perdweeb, in the eyes of many FSO squads KN is just as new to FSO as Topgun.

Fair point, but I believe they are newer unless my math has failed me.

lol were newer then KN, but made entirely of veteran players.

For example I was CO of Kommando N. in 2005 :)

Was a squad project that didn't work out, just as MiamiAce ran it before, and KyleT before.

It has been stated that Axis are always the low numbers side. Why would you switch someone that wants to fly Axis to Allied? That just means you will have to switch someone who prefers to fly Allied over to Axis...which makes no sense.

MiamiAce and I formed JG 7 "Nowotny". It disbanded because Miami and I quit the game. When I came back you were CO of JG 7 "Nowotny". I am not sure if you started a new squad or took over the old one. I am sure your squad didnt work out because of your F-18 duties. I formed KN with an entire new batch of people. The two squads have nothing in common other than having Nowotny in the title.

I have been playing for a while too Butcher. Why are we arguing over who has played the longest anyway. My point is, the group of guys that are in TG do not seem cut out for FSO. This has been shown in the last two setups.

Let us move on. Excited about this month's setup!

Really please explain why we are not cut out for FSO? I make one remark about getting the WRONG orders for the wrong SIDE and its automatically your attempt at trolling calling us babies for not getting the rides we want. Your ignorance or trolling simply failed.
Actually CAP1 pointed out it as a simple mistake and they will notify next time to avoid confusion which was all it was. I was confused getting the AXIS Objectives which I thought were the AXIS orders.
Now - lets just say WE WERE allied, and I got the AXIS Orders, NOW you see why I asked about it? I didn't want any issues about it, I had no clue we were SWITCHED to axis.

Were not going away any time soon, might as well just get used to fact were here to play and have fun.

Here is a quote from a thread back in June on the topic of choosing up sides for FSO:

We try and divide it up as best we can but the ratio split takes precedence. We can't have a lopsided setup based on what squad preferences are. That being said there has been no change to the way that we assign squads in FSO that I am aware.

Quote
But in times gone past squads who flew for the same side more than about 3 scenario's were often shifted to the opposite side for a scenario regardless of their request

Not really, what we do is we look and see if we can fill up the two sides first with those that made requests to a specific side (Allied and Axis) and then we fill in with the squads that made no preference. After that...if the sides are not balanced as per the design we have to make changes. We do look and see if a squad has a history of not getting the side they want and try to be fair. Its very difficult to juggle all that but we do our best. Typically but not always we have more squads ask for Allied than we have room for and some usually have to go Axis. Thats not hard and fast but thats the overall trend right now.

If for example a squad asked for Allied and got it in the last 3 or 4 setups and I am looking for a squad to switch to Axis? well, yes, they might be in the running to be moved compared to a squad that asked for Allied 3 or 4 times and has been Axis 3 times in a row. Fair is fair yes? As I said with squads being different sizes and setups with different ratios its a tight fit to get everybodys request but we do try. We take into account if they are a PACIFIC or ETO historic squad, historic ride, ect.
