please fix this HTC
« on: July 31, 2012, 02:26:46 PM »

This makes it impossible to see the field gun positions available.  Please make the the roof of the hangar impenetrable or the concrete beneath invulnerable.  Or make it so the field graphic is not covered by any craters.

Seems like a z-order (or whatever the technical term is) issue, where the crater graphic object is on top of the gun emplacement graphic objects. This happens so often, that I'm sure the enemy does it on purpose so people can't jump into manned gun positions to defend - that and they always like to pork every building on a base...

I concur.  I like to fight until there is nothing left to fight with at a field, but being denied that by a graphical issue is UGH  :bhead

as a manned gun dweeb, I'm not sure it's a feature or a bug.  I actually have not seen it lately. but I have seen it.

the workaround is just move to a same style base (small/med/large/v/port), click on the gun you want, then come back to the base with the crater in the indestructible and click H . or become a true jedi gun dweeb, and know where to click even when it's obscured :)

The problem with that workaround, is that you have no clue what gun (if any) is still operational...especially tough with a well place bomb or three.

You shouldn't need a workaround.  This is an exploit that shouldn't even exist.
