Army SSGT. Daniel Rodriguez was approved by the NCAA to walk on to Clemson's football team. He earned a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart in Afghanistan. Full article can be found here:

Great story of him achieving that goal.

Why would he need approval by the NCAA and ACC?  He would still have college eligability.
