I haven't had a disco yet but someone I up often was having bad disco issues yesterday ...He said it worked great..and maybe a little too good.... one time he was nose down de-acking and discoed... when came back he was level flight to his surprise..

The AI will bail for you and if it is in a chute when you return, you will be in a free fall until you open the chute.

Worked for me yesterday. Computer froze up and had to reboot. I'll be darned if I wasn't about 18k over a enmy base....cool feature.

being on satellite this is very cool...except a lot of times I get "cant connect to game servers" and have to keep trying eventually it lets me in.


but this is awesome non the less

Edit: any chance in the near future the allowed timeout is increased to about 10-minutes?  This would make it twice as awesome for those of us who frequently step out for 5-6 minutes.

2 issues with it:

1) drop tanks are lost on the reconnect (as well as a healthy amount of fuel) - is this intended?
2) reconnecting with tanks is iffy, most of the time, I spawn underground.

other that that, super cool!

Reconnect, you have a problem.  Last night I had a client crash over a 20 plane furball.  Ended program and hopped back in just fine.  Got into flight and pulled up the clipboard to see where I was and find a friendly to fly towards.  Not only could I see every green dot AND every red dot within a ~10k distance.  I was outside the dar ring and the dar ring was down.  There were two CV's within ~20k but both were lit, and neither were visible on the map but thier patrol vectors were on the map.  This stayed this way for ~15 minutes or so and upon death I wasn't able to select or see the CV's.

I'm also emailing this to support.

no sir.  On the three occasions i have had it happen (that is, reconnect with dts) I had over 3/4 in the DTs in a 51, over 200 gallons in a 47M, and a nearly full 2 DTs on a KI84 which I dced at 2k feet after just taking off.  On all three occasions, the DTs were gone and a fair bit of fuel was missing from the main tanks.  Just wondering if the reconnect drops the tanks automatically because it resets the plane 'clean'.

I'm carrying 8 kills last night (P47N).  I have 15 minutes of fuel, 300 rounds of ammo, approaching a set of lancs at 20k with 2 other guys last night.  I just get into Icon range and (whap), discoed.  I log back in, sit in the tower for maybe 15 seconds, (not touching anything, don't don't don't, wait, wait,wait, please, please, please)
BACK IN THE PLANE !!!!!

Got the last buff and landed 9 kills .
