Rearming
« on: August 10, 2012, 04:57:19 AM »
Not sure if this idea has been submitted.. but I was giving some thought to rearm pads. Lets say you took 50% fuel and went out and did your thing, later when you come and rearm, why not have the option available to take 75% or 100%? I'm not advocating we allow gun packages to change or anything that requires modifications. But taking more fuel does not seem to be an issue in my mind. Maybe increase the rearm pad time if you decide to take more fuel? Thoughts? Thanks. :)

In theory if a "rearming" is occurring they should be able to change nearly anything.  Not repairs of course.

Not until HTC makes it so no DT available unless %100 is selected.

I understand wanting the ability to refuel with only X amount of fuel, I do not disagree with that.  Only the option to take a DT with less than %100 fuel.

provided the re arm pad reflects the field logistics of the time................

e.g if ord is out then you cannot reload ord.

if fuel is down to 75% then you cannot get more than 75% fuel

if supplies are out then you cannot reload supplies or troops..........

When playing defense I will usually up for a nearby field with ords if ords are down at the base being attacked.  I do this with every intention of rearming at the field with no ords and I like it that way.
If I had a gun with 3 bullets and I was locked in a room with Bin Laden, Hitler, Saddam and Zipp...  I would shoot Zipp 3 times.

Well here's the thing. We don't have to fly nearly as far for a fight as they did in WW2. I'm sure that if we were dong fighter Sweeps 10 miles in WW2 they wouldn't go up with 100% gas either. Now tell me again why it is necessary for us to take 100% fuel before we can take a drop tank?

If ord is not available at the field where you rearm, you should only get fuel and gun ammo.

Would like to see re-arming pads added as destructible objects.  As they originally were defined.

that would be cool......as long as a c202 can't strafe it down in a single pass like the ords.
