Thing is not alot of people want to admit living in Flint. Maybe the Dayton Family bout thats about it.
I grew up just a few minutes away from Pierson Road. Arguably the most dangerous community in the country now. If you know the area, my grandparents lived on the corner of Pierson and Clio. Although back in the early 80s, it hadn't blossomed into the
wonderful place it is now.
If there was still work there, I'd kill to be able to live back home. It's actually a great place filled with great people and countless stories and history.
The crack explosion mixed with the auto companies abandoning it sealed its fate however.
Now Flint is just in the business of making Detroit look good
Here's a little news from Flint, from a store I used to frequent:
"Witnesses said a severely injured man was found lying in the road at the entrance of a store at the corner of Pierson and Fleming roads. They weren't sure whether the man was shot or struck by a vehicle.
The victim was taken to a hospital by ambulance.
An officer told 911 dispatchers he believed the man was shot, but police have so far declined to speak with media to confirm the details or the man's condition.
Update: Police later confirmed the man was shot and killed."
Gotta love the heart warming endings
