I asked my XO to post this not as a bragging how great 353rd is, but to show what a small squad (5-8) can do. From time and again I have seen posts by somebody not enjoying how they are or their squad was assigned with bad ride(s), horrible mission or not getting far fights against overwhelming numbers. Well, personally 353rd will tell you different. We do have our far share of bad rides, missions that are against us and face overwhelming numbers. We have some frames where we were taken out quickly with not much to show. Despite what the assignment is, we still follow through and do our best.
With great leadership (lol), planning, and good sticks 353rd have set new boundaries this year. In the last five frames (Operation Typhoon Frame 1 to Battle of the Coral Sea - Frame 2) a member of the squad or the squad itself have place on one of the top performance in objective destroy or air Kills. Never in the course of 353rd history in FSO have we reach this level of excellence. On top of that, a member of the squad or the squad itself have place on one of the top performance in objective destroy or air Kills in four other frames this year.
Follow what I say with some examples, I am showing that you do not need to be in a big squad or have most members that are great stick just to be notice or be assigned to better rides. I try hard to communicate with other squads ahead of time and work with them so we all will reach the objective. This includes emailing the squads assigned with us discussing/suggesting routes, altitude etc. During missions most of you see me on text posting where 353rd location, enemy contacts and so forth. This why I believe we have done well in most events because we work together as a squad and work with other squads. Some squads do not play that way and have a different way where they do so well and that is great. However, if your squad is not faring so well, take a look at 353rd on what we have been doing. Communicating with other squads in your group works wonders not only for your squad but the assigned frame objective too.
