buy a joystick that has force feedback.

There are no force feedback effects for the concussions from bomb blasts.

Plus muffle the speaker sounds and produce a tinnitus ringing from the speakers for a few minutes.
On the ground any close hit in real life trashes your hearing and shakes up your innards.

I had a huey gunship mk40 2.75 rocket impact within 10ft of me, that only had 2 1/2 lbs of b4 high explosive in the warhead,
I didn't hear anything but muffled sounds for a few days and hellatious ringing in my head which is still there 44 years later.

I'd suggest that it should be a single out-and-back motion, like a concussion rather than an actual reciprocating "shake" motion.  It might also have a very quick redout and/or blackout (this wouldn't be optional) which would reflect the amount of explosive energy that hit you (roughly explosive weight/distance^3)

An a semi-related note - I do recommend a subwoofer.  I have 8.1 Surround sound by Creative - it isn't fancy and I got it free, but when I crank it up, the engine noise shakes the house, and the explosions rock.  I have the comms channel through my big earcup headphones, and I need the headphones to cut down the external noise.  Surprisingly realistic.

Cheers!

Well it would be nice if HE bombs actually had concussion, although I could see the GVers becoming very unhappy very quickly.
I imagine we pump out alot more 1,000 lbers out then the real guys did.
