Game Sounds
« on: August 23, 2012, 01:52:48 PM »
I am just getting back after a year from the game. The question i have is when someone transmits on the range radio or vox my game sounds are not heard.
Is this a change or am i missing something? I can transmit and hear fine so radio is set up OK.

It is a rather new option.  You can find the voice settings in game on your clipboard.

Welcome back.

Still no joy. I played with those settings to no avail. When someone transmits on range or vox engine sound and all other game sounds are muted.

Did you make sure the playback slider is towards the right?  That's the slider that controls the volume level of game sounds, when someone transmits.  All the way right, game sounds remain loud when someone transmits.  All the way left, game sounds are reduced/muted when they transmit.  You should be able to hear VOX clearly, irregardless of that sliders position.

Slide the bottom 2 sliders to the right, turning the volume up. Some people like to have the background sounds drop out when someone is talking because it is easyer to hear what they say.

Right, that how my sliders are set.  To reduce game volume when I or anyone else keys up.  As Fugitive stated, some folks prefer to have the game sounds lowered when VOX is being used.  Just slide the Playback
and Record sliders all the way to the right, if you want sounds to stay loud.
