Need Catalyst version recommendation for *old* video card...

Hi all,

I just found a replacement Radeon 9800 Pro video card for my old Dell Dimension PC (the original 9800XT card recently died).  I can run AH with the 9800 Pro, but the radar bars are gray.  I am currently using the last Dell-approved driver update for it, but I assume that there probably were later ATI driver updates which fixed this.  

QUESTIONS:

1)  Can someone suggest an ATI Catalyst version which was known to work well for AH?
2)  What's the best place to download them from?  Would this be a good place?  http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/Legacy/previous/Pages/radeonaiw_xp.aspx)

Heya TDeacon, 
The ATI 9800 series ran best in AH using the  ATI (AMD) cat 4.12 version drivers best
I can recall.....  that is the version I have always used

Thanks TC; I will try Cat 4.12 then.  

Now, where is a safe place to download them from...?  The AMD link I list above doesn't go back prior to Cat 8.

I suppose you'd be fine with Cat 8.1: The display driver is rev. 8.10 while Cat 4.1's display driver is 8.082 according to the release notes of 4.12 and the download side of Cat 8.10
