I was going to post it, but I've been posting quite a few USMNT stuff already (be expecting a thread for the WC Qualifier on the 11th). What I personally like about it is there might be a chance now with all of Tottenham's transfers is they may just sell the San Jose Earthquakes Simon Dawkins, who we've had on loan from them for the last 2 years, and he's been playing great this season. Also, there is a good chance in my opinion that the Spurs might make it to the Champion's League next year, which would be great for him.

I'm disappointed he didn't go to Liverpool. I think he was holding out for them and they didnt match Fulham's valuation of him. Now they only have 2 recognized "strikers"....very, very thin in that position.

Liverpool really screwed the pooch with that,  Carroll although I don't like him much does get in amongst the defenders and stirs things up.

Rodgers is out of his depth imo, Would love to here Micky's opinion on his new manager.  :P

Tottenham won't go anywhere with AVB in charge he just doesn't have the experience to manage a top club.

Agree. Liverpool should have kept Carroll until we signed a replacement for him. One injury to Suarez and we'll have about a 0% chance of scoring any goals. We didn't even have a striker on the bench against Arsenal! Borini isn't the answer.

Rodgers is not out of his depth, however. His system will work with time. We played  very good possession footy against Arsenal but if we have no one to put it in the net, then it won't matter. We need more investment in the squad.

We'll wait and see how Spurs do. They're always interesting to follow. Maybe AVB learned a few things while at Chelsea. He did do well with Porto, so he obviously isn't incompetent.

What I like about that is that San Jose could technically be above ManU in this, since they had a 2-2 draw against Swansea earlier this season. It's a stretch I know, but still. (Just trying to stay relevant since the European season has started)
