Man that is a fine looking boat right there, although I'd really hate having to deal with that much wood. I've been interested in house boats for some time (unless I win 100k i'd never get one) but few i seen had alot of work needed on wood areas.

I love carpentry, I actually thought if I did win some cash i'd certainly like a boat I can fix up (internally not mechanically wise).

Not mine, but this is the last boat I worked on.. Been on board her two times so far. Once in Jacksonville and once in Ft. Lauderdale. It is currently owned by Beyonce and Jay-Z.. a mere 205feet long

I used to be a yacht mechanic at Hatteras of Lauderdale's custom yard.

Every couple of years, we would customize a new yacht which was named "big bad john".

In 1990, they didn't get a new yacht but rather had it refitted and customized further.

The luxury tax put a hurting on yacht yards.

The wife says we're going to "80 degrees".  She's talking temperature, not latitude.  Idea is south to Mexico then a right turn to the South Pacific.

DOH, won't be able to drive that far.

I think I was 13 or 14 when my parents sold their 22' Catalina, now that little fast sucker was a blast to sail/race.

I got a slight problem, just talked to my dad about it - and seems the company that was selling the boat decided to sell only Yachts - that or fact I refuse to let my boat get stored by them (Long story short but never let someone take care of your boat when trying to sell it, they wash and clean it and when the boat sells they tack on a very profitable fee for it)...

I'm going have to drive up to cape sometime and get someone else to list and sell it, its been on the market for a year at 20k, well below the market cost for the same year/model..
I'll post in the next few days and see what I can find out in coming days and ill post on here.
