locking up
« on: September 16, 2012, 07:00:54 PM »
About 6 hours after a fresh install  (returning to AH after about 10 months) i started experiencing constant lock ups.... zero fps for a several seconds..... for the first 6 hours of game play it ran butter smooth solid 60 fps, as locked to my refresh rate.... uninstalled and chose not to let the game auto install the hi res pack.... problem solved.... the thing is my specs are far, FAR beyond this games requirements and the last time i played the game I used the hi res pack with no problem.... balls in your court htc :)   (for the record i spent all of 4 minutes searching forums for related issues.... apologies if this is a known issue)

  Processor: AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 940 Processor (4 CPUs), ~3.0GHz (OC) 3.4GHz
             Memory: 6144MB RAM
                        GPU: radeon 6870 1gb
UGH.....

it's in your graphics settings. probably running anti-aliasing in the ccc and in ah...check cpu and gpu temps too.

And your specs are far FAR from maxing this game out. Reality check!
If you like the Sick Puppy Custom Sound Pack the please consider contributing for future updates by sending a months dues to Hitech Creations for account "Chalenge." Every little bit helps.

The game can easily overwhelm 1GB of video RAM, depending on the bump mapping, environment mapping, shadow texture size, and anti-alias settings used.
