Forum Wish.
« on: September 17, 2012, 08:10:13 PM »
I have one wish today, and one wish only. It's a very special wish and it is very practical for the forums.

My wish is this, to be a fish.

No. Not really.

Here's the real wish - I want the ability on the forum to edit a post no matter how long ago it was posted, with the current system we can only edit a recently posted response/topic and if we get too far past the expiration date it isn't changeable. I'm not sure if HTC staff can do this, or if its set in stone in the forum itself and cant be changed.

Carry on.

I think it is fine how it is. Why do you need to edit it any past an hour or two?

What if you have a few mistakes in there and don't realize it until a day later? What if people who read the OP and go off of that when it was wrong, but corrected a few pages later the next day and someone hasn't read that? The mistakes whether they are typos, informational errors or some other thing aren't changeable until after an hour or two can make the post look...bad.

There is a preview button. And you have two hours to look to correct mistakes.

There is no reason not to read the entire thread to be informed before you post.

You'd think people would read the entire thread, but its not always the case. I know a lot of people that don't read the entire thread to get the whole story on different boards. Not sure if that holds true here though.
