I was checking out these mobile hotspot devices and plans for using them. Anybody have knowledge about them? I used one on a friends 3G phone and it worked good, so I was thinking about getting something like that but I do not really need the phone. But they make the mobile hotspot device without the phone. Just doing a little research into the subject.

I have a 4G LTE mobile hotspot that creates a wifi network wherever I go with it. On some areas the 4G can deliver up to 80 megabits of download speeds, not bad for a credit card sized wireless toy. The only downside to the thing is that it will drain the battery in a few hours so you'll most likely need to keep it attached to a wall socket or a computer most of the time.

I have one of these for work, it works really well. I can run a laptop, Kindle fire and ipad off it all at the same time. And its very rare that i dont have a signal.......I cant give you any info on MiFi service plans as my company pays the bill for mine.
