while the IAR 80a went against whatever flying junk the russians could put up (and pilot skill wise).
Even with the low quality of Soviet pilots and equipment at the time, Romanian fighter units with the IAR 80 really didn't make that much of an impact compared to their German counter parts.
Frankly even if the IAR 80c gets added, it was no way near in performance to any american plane flying over romania in 44, other then turn radius.
That's why it was yanked from service in 1944, they were being slaughtered by US planes.
