SALUTE to Allies Red Strike Group
« on: October 06, 2012, 09:01:06 AM »
Congrats gents!!!

Every squad was where they were supposed to be and implemented the plan to perfection from what I could see.

There were a LOT of bad monkey planes that disrupted our initial spearhead attack.  We managed to get many of our planes all the way through while many of us in the D models had to pickle and engage immediately.  I tried to keep going in, with the CV RIGHT THERE, and looking back to see at least 3 Ki-61s hot on my 6 closing in, I finally threw off my ord with one of them 200 off my six and anchored, hoping to draw some guys off the ones that had a chance to get in.

I would like to know the perspective of the 2nd wave and how that worked out for you coming in.  Were we able to draw enough of them away for you to get a clean run to target or did you also get jumped up high?

I thought you all did wonderful and I hope we get the opportunity to work together again.  Great comms during the week in preparation of FSO.

Also a VERY big salute to the axis forces defending that task group.  You guys fought very well.
