This may be one instance where I would be in favor of it not flashing the base at all if it is released outside of the radar ring.

I like the idea of using air spawns.  Then it's really down to the individual pilot to use the available altitude and terrain etc to get it down safe.

However, if you specified the glider as the _only_ cargo of the C47, or whatever bomber, then any stealth capability would be interesting.

Modern gliders are semi-stealth aircraft by virtue of their shape and their material.  WWII gliders are mostly made of wood, which is much less radar reflective than metal, but they're basically big boxcars with wings and I can't imagine them being really all that stealthy.

But hey, WWII radar didn't work much like our radar either, so there you go.

We don't have WWII radar (like you said), but it's also not supposed to be WWII radar. Our radar is supposed to be an aid to finding fights, which is why you should notice how often they get knocked out and deduce from that why.
