Ju52 could only do 165 mph that is.................225-165=60) 60 mph slower than our goon I do agree it does need to be added but make it a package type deal get the C-54 that can do 275 mph at 18k and get the much slower JU52 that could only do 165mph lol

Climbing to 18K in a goon sure sounds like fun.

the game is concentrated on combat, not on shaking the screen.

my point is our goon does not do 275mph at ANY Altitude unless in a dive it would have more range than a ju52 and our goon

So?  Nobody pushes the range on the C-47A, so that isn't useful.  Speed at 18,000ft is also not useful as nobody is going to drop troops or supplies from that altitude.  Further, I'll bet you that a C-47A climbing to 1,000ft AGL and flying to the target will get there before a C-54 could climb to 18,000ft and get to the target.

Really, the only additional transports that might have a place in AH would be the Ju52 and perhaps a Japanese amphibious assault vehicle.

I read my own dang post wrong it could do 275 at sealevel now that I researched it I still think with the way the new strat system is now it would be a very valuable asset seeing as though they did at time drop a bouncing damnbuster bomb during the war not to mention it would be perked for being able to carry more supps to our strats than the c47 like say maybe oh I don't know 3 field sups

With the new  supply system , we should have a runway near strats, the C54 rolls up in to a rearm pad style and a button a appears on the screen that says load supplies, then he takes off and we could make a supply depot with a strip , he can land there and drop off supplies or he could go to the front lines, and make it to where you have to take certain supplies, like lets make more like fighter ace, if a base runs low on ammo, him bringing a supply crate wont do it, he will have to load ammo and take it to the base and with other supplies you could do the same thing, you could also make it where a supply convoy of liberty ships takes supplies all over but the cargo plane could bring them to the front faster, maybe , just maybe we could make it free to fly the c54 on supply runs , as in you dont have to pay the game fee, but you cant fly anything else. That could get some of those flight simulator boys involved and when they see the action, they might want to pay the 14.95 to fly in fighters. Just saying

everyone already gets the full game free for 2 weeks. why would doing supply runs appeal to anyone?

actually you take more than one field with it

Ok here's a math problem for you.

If you have 50 troops with parachutes and grappling hooks and flubber soled boots, how many troops do you have?
If I had a gun with 3 bullets and I was locked in a room with Bin Laden, Hitler, Saddam and Zipp...  I would shoot Zipp 3 times.

why not a Horsa? it could be towed from a lanc then droped off and glide down to earth. when it lands the pilot can change into a jeep then take his troops to the town. this means the horsa pilot has to team up with a lanc pilot to get around. the horsa could carry 25 troops though...

Never say "nobody would"  :D     I took a goon to 20K and landed on the mountain range on trinity by a V-Base once busting off half a wing in the process.  ThndrEgg flew over, deacked and took out the dar.  I managed to get the beast off the ground and drop troops to get a successful base capture.   The defenders never thought to hang out long enough to see the troops floating down from that high lol.

There is always that guy who will do that thing you would think nobody would spend the time to do.   ;)

You can't drop troops from 18k.  Troops / supplies have a time limit of 10 minutes and will de-spawn before they do their job when dropped from that height.  I dropped troops from 30k once, it was a colossal waste of time.

It'd be an easy way to lose ten perks :devil

IIRC the skymaster was used only for VIP transport and bus duty at rear airfields. No frontline paratroop operations.

I think... :bolt:
