I personally think it comes down to the pilot skill.  Although torque helps!  Joachim does it like no ones business!

Recovering from moves like that is the hard part, the torque wants to spin the plane instead of the prop. Initiating them is as easy as a flick of the wrist. Once you master that torque man you can do almost anything!
