Revolving broken circle in middle of YouTube videos
« on: October 24, 2012, 06:43:52 PM »
Greetings:. have encountered, lately, whilst watching AH2 videos a broken circle in middle of video which freezes the screen lasting from a few seconds to minutes.
I googled  to find a solution & was referred to "the Adobe site", did everything per recommendations, however, the circle is still there!

What causes that?  How do I get rid of it?  My PC currently uses 41 gigabytes with 398 gigabytes free, lots of room.  Something has gone awry in the last week?  Pls help.  TY

Thats an indication its buffering your end (loading portions of video before playing it) Probably caused by the internet being busy near you (odd as it sounds). I get the same at times, not much you can do about it.

If you click on the time bar at the bottom of the video and move the video backwards 2-3 seconds the circle will go away.

This.  Initialise the video being downloaded onto your computer by starting to play it, then immediatley pause it.  You should now observe the progress bar filling up.  You don't have to wait for it to finish, but it sounds like your connection may be slow enough that you almost have to.

Happy1, if you're using an extension that blocks YouTube ads, chances are that your problem lies there. I use YouTube Ads Free in Opera and I constantly see the circle in the middle of the video while it is playing (any video). While it is annoying, it is better than the alternative IMO.

You might check what extensions you have enabled in your browser and disable any that might interfere with YouTube ads.

however, I never heard of blocking YouTube ads,  checked my AdBlock
Plus & the rest of the extensions on Firefox & I'm clean. TY
