X-52--ST-190
« on: October 30, 2012, 12:15:07 PM »
i have been using the regular x-52  joystick and throttle--the joystick went south--but the throttle works fine and i'm now using a new st-190--it has a onboard throttle as you know--Question is can i use the x-52-throttle with the st-joystick---instead of the saitek throttle?????????????

You can use any combination of multiple gaming devices in AH as long as they are recognized by Windows. All it takes is to map each device in AH.

use the throttle on the stick for RPM's....I am using the X52's throttle and the CH fighter stick.....I have it set up that the throttle on the fighter stick as RPM's......... works great, when trying to get home on lo fuel.... or when taking out the LA7....dropping RPM's extends the distance you can travel.

I use x52 throttle and CH fighter stick.

The X52 joystick cannot be used without the throttle though :cry

I have the same exact set up as Ink we must be related but I am the better looking :old:

Actually you only need the circuit board from the stick between the throttle and USB to work. Shouldn't be too difficult to tear the stick apart and just cut all the excessive wires away. Or, if you're handy, make a nice "box of buttons" controller out of the base of your stick. Remember, even a hat is just four separately mappable buttons...

Same setup and saitek rudder pedals, but Ink is a better pilot and zach makes better pies.

He he he I will be using a Thrustmaster cougar with saitek pedals. Is that considered sacrilege?

Right now I am using the x65f and due to my surgeries it is putting unneeded stress on my elbows.

BTW if you do use multiple USB items make sure you get a powered hub.

I only use CH pedals because I have man's feet :old:

I have a set of saitek pedals but found out that they were designed for ladies or men of a happy persuasion :old:
