Unfortunately I don't have a whole lot of room to work with. I actually use my trunk a fair bit, as well as the back seats, so not a whole lot of room for subs.

How important is the size of the enclosure space? I was thinking about putting some shallow mount subs in the rear deck of my car, but not 100% on that; might use that space for another pair of speakers to go along with the ones in the door.

a single 12 in a small box and good amp can still jam and not take up a lot of room... you want balanced, one 12 is plenty... spend money on a good Alpine head unit, good door speakers and the single 12 and decent amp and you and your passengers will be blown away

All right, one last question. Well, two....

For those with the after market stereo decks, does the quality increase noticably with price (and I mean between units, not like getting a cheap JVC or something, and comparing it to an Alpine unit), or is it more of just extra features?

Also, DIN or double DIN? whats your preference, and why?

You started this thread and it was obviously about your want and desire in spite of your use of 'we' and Google.

Alpine makes the best sounding headunits
MTX makes great everything else

Once you get a system, you'll never have a car without one

and crutchfield is the place to buy for sure  :aok

Then I let the alpine play, pumpin new $^&& by NWA! :D

Think I had a kenwood with 2, 12 JL's and phoenix amp. I heard kicker was good brand? Anyways I grew up.
