Part of "dueling" is your fuel strategy.

I can already fly the spit XIV for over an hour in the dueling arena when I take off with 50% fuel.

Bring up the fuel burn to 2.0 and, if you want an airspawn, make airspawning only available if you take 50% fuel or more.
