Pikes Peak is 14,110ft  paved all the way to the top now. Junky that Alt. without shades is a no no.
Been up on pikes peak before. Gets kinda hard to breathe

Skydiving is on my things to list here in Hawaii.....I'll make sure I have my gopro when I do it so I can take some overhead shots of Oahu :aok

grew up in colorad springs and never drove up pikes peak, but I did jog up it with a couple college buddies :aok
so if its paved do they still do the hill climb??

Yea I'm in 2-27 so pretty much I'm in the golden boy battalion. The pictures from there are great but I had to ruck 8 miles up hill to get them.

A shot of life finishing that movement  :salute

Looks like it must have been a terrible hump...

Did you discover new Nazca lines?

Von, of course there is a road to the top(NASA has observatories up there)....which we followed.....whens the last time you did a 8 mile road march that was up hill the entire way?

When I had to?  1996, perhaps 97...  but it was 15 miles.  Uphill both ways.

When there was an actual road?  Never.   That's what the jeep is for.    :P
