IIRC they are reenactments of actual events.

If it was real: Technically it's self defense anyway. The guy was a threat.

:rofl :rofl you should have heard my dad picking that show apart, he is a driller has been for 20 something years, yes the rig is running and they are working but its all staged.  as far as I know the rigs run 24/7 they dont shutdown at night.  just funny to hear some of the stuff my dad was saying that were fake, I had no clue what he was talking about :headscratch:  yes that is a rough job, and to think I have been trying to get into it myself :D

actually the only real reality tv show is Reno 911.  all the others are staged.
