Thinking on it, I really want realism too.

How were things set up in WWII? Were the HVAR's always ripple fired, fired in pairs, or could you shoot them off individually?

I know it wasn't always ripple-fire for some of the German rockets, such as the PB 1
Typhoons could initially fire rockets singly, in pairs or all at once.  The ability to fire one at a time was later removed leaving the option to fire pairs or all at once.  I am not sure, but I think the Mosquito followed the same pattern.

How about this...I fly the "Hellkitty" pretty regularly (well, been gone bout a year but never the less) when I want to get a hangar or just kill red guys from the Carrier. Now, I know that the VH takes 2600lbs of ord to destroy so I am just using this as an example. So I set my salvo at 6 and always fire my rockets 1st, then quickly switch to my bombs and it jettisons both of them and 9 outta 10 times they all hit paydirt and when I look in the rearview that VH is a flaming, smoking pile of rubbish. Now, for a FH then ya just make the appropriate adjustment. As far as attacking GVs, which im sure is included in your post, I suck at killing anything other than Jeeps or M3's with rockets so your on your own there.
