Character is like a tree and reputation like its shadow. The shadow is what we think of it; the tree is the real thing.

OOOOOOPS!!!

Retired at 60 in 1996!!!  Now you see why it's time for me to fade away.  Can't type, remember much and just get around.

The "Old Soldiers just fade away" quote came from General Douglas McArthur's speech to congress in the 1950's when Pres. Truman fired him.  I listened to the speech on the radio.

Also, as for the aircraft in AH.  I have been a Colonel in the CAF since the mid 1970's.  As a sponser for the rebuild on a P-38 and a Martin B-26, I was allowed to either fly or ride in every flyable aircraft they had.  From a Stearman up to "Fifi" their B29 (including a Mossie).  Wonderful time for me in late 70's and early 80's.  I grew up during WWII.

Again, I have enjoyed my time with all you folks and wish you the best.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Sorry for the typos

I have been flying Flight Sim since it's inception and found on-line flying when I retired at 60 in 1966 with Warbirds.

So you're 106 years old?  What did you play on in 1966?  A Cray Super computer?

[EDIT]  Nevermind.  I just saw your revision.

BTW, at 72 you're still younger than Vilkas (by at least 10 years IIRC) and he's still going strong.
