Was wondering how many ppl here own a 95 or newer dodge ram truck. Nexy year if i start making the money i should was wanting to buy a dodge ram, but was wanting to know what kind off issues ppl have had with theres.

Had an '02 1500 4X4. The little 4.7L engine did not like the 6500 foot altitude here but otherwise it was an excellent truck.

 ben.......dodge trucks have problems with the rear differential. they suck. the 4x4 dodges have a rather interesting setup for the front drive axle, and it also is prone to problems, unless it's a solid front axle. they have transmission problems. although i'm driving a 97 dakota, i don't think i'd recommend a dodge ram to anyone as a first vehicle. almost forgot.....fuel mileage sucks on them too. if you insist on getting a truck, ford or chevy.

 if you do test drive one, make absolutley sure that the thing hasn't been warmed up before you do. they get what we call morning sickness. they slip very badly when cold.

I can attest to the Ram transmission problems, after only about 115k miles the rear differential and the transmission started to go out on my old 98 Ram. I've also had the worst luck when it comes to water pumps as I'm currently on my third one. The problem stems from the fact (IMO) that Chrysler uses shoddy parts in their cars which has caused so many problems. My father owned a 95 Jeep Grand Cherokee that went though 3 transmissions before it hit 80k miles. He's also had nothing but problems with his 04 Grand Cherokee as well.

Don't get me wrong I do love my Ram, however, I make no bones about it that you will have problems if you get a Dodge made in the last decade.
