Video diagnostic only showing 3.5M used?

Says i've got 736MB and is using around 3.5MB.

Is this a bug or have you guys invented infinite detail?

Take a look at the "save all information" from a DXDIAG run.  It will show the physical amount of memory the video card has and the amount of system RAM the driver will use when the video card cannot hold all the resources it is being asked to deal with.

Oh, so your saying its flowing over into my RAM?

Should I get a Video card with more memory?

You, nor the game (or any application for that matter), can control it.  The video card driver and DirectX handles it.

Also  note that the CTRL-I in-game display isn't accurate when it comes to the video ram being used.  It just repeats what Direct X is telling it and for some reason those numbers are all wonky.
