The sun is too bright ...

The sun effect thing is only a placebo, once you realize that its just white pixels; your brain will stop telling you that it burns.

I tell myself that, but my brain must not be working right, cause it still hurts. 

Also the reflection from the sun using a mirror to project it on the wall also shows significant brightness.

When you immerse yourself in something too much/long; your brain slowly thinks its real.

I'd suggest a good mental workout before playing if things inside the game bother you to that point.

I just avoid the sun as much as possible.   Works so far.
