Looking through the herald site I found this little snippet on buried spitfires.... not a big write up but I'm sure there must be more news of it around

That sounded familiar, so I searched a little on the BBS. To my surprise the only place mentioning this was our Finnish Squads forum, where this popped up almost a year ago: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/defence/9203822/Spitfires-buried-in-Burma-during-war-to-be-returned-to-UK.html. I'm amazed if there really hasn't been more discussion about them across these boards.

Fox news has an article today about their upcoming excavation.  Just a spectacular find!

There has been multiple topics in the oclub over the last year about them. Until they reach the first crate nothing really new will be known.
