When Liestrong first started to show on pro scene he was w/ Motorola...but never(NEVER) was a real world class cyclist. Would have been great helper/domestic, but world class? No.
He admits starting PED use even before being on Motorola...than he gets cancer. That his cancer was NOT due to his doping is strange statement. Let us remember these drugs are often black-market/Chinese made copies. It is understood during this period 70% of these drugs were made ABOVE their medical need. Excess amounts went where, sports.They used(especially early in EPO era) amounts no Dr would proscribe for healthy person. People died, suddenly, in their sleep. Some, on same development team Lance was on at 19, came up w/immunity deficient problems after they took injections that they were told were 'vitamins'. They sued and received a settlement out of court. A name comes up there, guy named Thom Wiesel, not gonna mention him again but he's all over this whole mess. Some athletes get little advantage from PEDs(Performance Enhancing Drugs), some get none, some, like Lance, do amazing stuff on them.
He claims new 'Blood Passport' is good, working solution. Than says he did not use past 2005. HIS blood passport says different. He says these trying to get around statute of limitations.
He went past being mere bully. He actively totally screwed lives and careers of those who knew/felt he was doping. He spent a lot of money doing it. He robbed anyone who wanted to, or did, compete clean. Alot of other riders/teams just could not afford to pay a Doctor hundreds of thousands to dope effectively. He's worth $125 million or more because of his thieving. He is still lying, covering for those who helped him screw people.
Why would he keep lying? JAIL! He's hoping to influence future juries/public opinion that he's been excessively punished, others weren't crucified like him! His last shield is one he made, his charity...after all, as he's said himself, he's helped so many people.
