303 Polish Squadron Hurricane Mk I
« on: February 23, 2013, 03:54:06 PM »
Banshee7 requested a 303 Polish Squadron Hurricane skin when it first came out and I've finally found time to do one.

303 Polish Squadron were the top scoring RAF fighter squadron of the Battle of Britain with 126 kills, despite only seeing action in the second half of the battle. Its pilots were seasoned veterans having previously seen action in the battles of Poland and France. This aircraft was flown by 303's Canadian Flight Leader Johnny Kent to shoot down an Me 110 on September 9th 1940 and by Sgt Tadeusz Andruszko to shoot down an He 111 on 26th September. However a day later Me 109s shot down and killed Sgt Andrusko in it. The red fuselage stripe was used by 303 to denote flight and squadron leaders' aircraft, a practice inherited from Polish Air Force fighter markings.

Just now seeing this!  Awesome work Greebo!  It will get much use within our squad and I'm sure amongst others in game.  I admire the work you do, sir!
