Easy to steal stuff if you act/look like you know what you're doing and are supposed to be there.

Talked to a home depot guy yesterday, and he said all their anti-theft merchandise gadgets mean nothing because they get REALLY expensive stuff stolen all the time.  Apparently forklifts are really popular.  Someone just puts on an orange apron, hops onto the forklift, drives it out into the parking lot and down the street, loads it into a moving van, and they never see again even if someone vaguely remembers some guy driving a forklift through the parking lot.
Everyone I know, goes away, in the end.
