PS - If you really want to waste the time on it, "yup" isn't a word, but "uninformed" is.  Now we've both improved our grammar today.  :aok

Down here, it is.

Without going into the names - I got some nasty PMs recently on this board about one of my supposed squad member's conduct, supposedly originating from your land of higher-intelligence (FW).  I went digging through our records in the past to be sure, and current stats (a couple clicks and a name query on the website, or a quick login to teh game and a roster refresh) show this individual was never and isn't one of our squad's members.

Relived it's not my responcibility, but geebus frapin krikee if I didn't have enough material for a bonfire in my inbox from a couple of individuals that weekend.

"lmao"

Is it fun over there?
well....800+ people CAN be wrong! (hmm.....if somebody from over THERE sent you a pm over HERE, then it came from AH?. Not sure how you can extrapolate a general indictment from that?)

This thread makes the case why a Rubber Room would work just fine. Yes, a bit off kilter here and there though it self-moderates to a very large degree. It has run off on a couple tangents, back to a central point and off we go.

I can see the issue of adding work load to Skuzzy, requiring him to monitor a Rubber Room. Maybe Skuzzy appoints half a dozen of the more noble, calm though not necessarily wiser lot to act as hall monitors, to provide guidance and the occasional cattle prod to the food fight that may ensue. The most egregious violations could be brought to Skuzzy's attention, then they could be brought forward to all for a good old public shaming. Yes, at some level a line would be crossed but I am confident this crew of misfits could find a great balance.

I say let's give it a try and the first one who pees their pants gets kill-shot in-game.

+1 (on a test run of the Rubber Room with half a dozen hall monitors/teachers pets.)

We had that stuff before. Old "Oclub" with mods, and politics allowed. Was discontinued in autumn 2008 ;)

FW and planet earth chronicle are more than enough for anyone wishing to talk politics,, I am glad we don't do it here,,, I often wonder why we even have an Oclub?
But if you want something else,,, open your own!!   Then you can moderate it like you want
I was a member of FW for a long time,
I enjoyed it ,the freedom to say whatever,I only quit because I got tired of politics and needed my time to work on more productive ideas
That said,,, politics,, their or here will result in one side expressing their ideas, while the other degrades and insults the previous ,,, doesn't really matter what side your on!

Now how does that help Aces High?
What would HTC gain by re-introducing that equation to the mix?
 Will it fill the coffers?
Will it improve game play?

I can't think of anything that HTC would gain except a large headache it didn't need,,, besides,, if we did that here,, what would be left to do over at FW?

Just my two cents

FW is still going strong, roughly 800 members.  I lurk here but post there.  I understand the rules here and when I am in someone elses' sandbox I obey them...  I post there because it's a great steam release valve, and I don't have to worry about offending anyone - we all dish it out, we all take it.

wow, that is so untruthful.

I would have to say, if you all want to talk politics and stuff, which hey like uptown said there are a lot of smart guys here with different backgrounds, ideas, etc and would be interesting to hear, why not make a facebook account(takes about 10 mins and gets you up to speed with everything lol)and everyone can talk politics, gun control, or whatever and skuzzy doesnt have to ban anyone or have wars in the BBS.  just my thoughts :salute

Since you've never accessed the general forums at FW or partake in any of the discussions, you really can't make any comments stating otherwise.
