There isn't an achievement for base defense, so how about this:

I - "Bug Squasher" - kill 10 troops
II - "Meat Grinder" - kill 50 troops
III - "Oh, the Humanity!" - kill 100 troops
IV - "None Shall Pass" - kill 250 troops
V - "Vlad the Impaler" - kill 500 troops

Do we have an achievement for getting a really high kill/death ratio?  Call it the Air Dominance achievement.

I keep trying to think of historical achievements for the Mossie, the most obvious one I can come up with is *cough* the Scherf.

Charlie Scherf shot down five enemy aircraft, air-to-air, on a single sortie in a Mmossie FB VI. His Nav on the op was F/O "Red" Stewart. Other pilots got four on a sortie, however Scherf was the only one to get five, and in daylight at that.

I should be able to find a couple for the bomber Mossie, first cookie on a city target, first cookie on Berlin (= HQ?) spring to mind.
... missions were to be met by the commitment of alerted swarms of fighters, composed of Me 109's and Fw 190's, that were strategically based to protect industrial installations. The inferior capabilities of these fighters against the Mosquitoes made this a hopeless and uneconomical effort. 1.JD KTB

I suggested "Scherf" on the first page, and land 213 sorties in the Mossie XVI for the bomber Mossie.

Ah, cheers. Haven't played for yonks,so I'm operating rather blind when it comes to achievements.

Is there a full list of existing achievements somewhere?

Not sure, but the two I suggested did not get added so your support on them is good.  :)

The "shady Lady" achievement: For performing a long range bomb run, should be atleast of 3,5-4 hours duration. Either in the B-24 specifically or in any bomber.

You'd have to fly the B-24 at cruise setting directly from take off. If you even only climb at Mil, you are very unlikely to stay airborne for that long. In other bombers, it is more do-able. For the record, my own two longest bombing missions in Late War had been at 03:34 (HE 111) and 02:50 (B-29)

Have flown the Lancs for 4 hours and 15 mins (u can squeeze out another 15-20 min from it) I haven't tested the B-24 but 3 hours should be doable  It's some of the point to push the plane beyond their limit so u should really have to manage your fuel well to get it.

Shoot down a 109 in a P38, in glide mode. He forgot to switch after droping tanks and his engines were off when he fired.

I didn't see it here so...

Shoot down 5 German fighters in a single P-38 sortie - Herbert B. Hatch

"10 June 1944, during an air mission over Ploesti, Rumania. As part of the formation of fighter escorts for P-38 fighter bombers attacking a vitally important oil refinery in Ploesti, Lieutenant Hatch destroyed five enemy fighters, probably destroyed one and damaged another."  - From Forked Tailed Devil - Martin Caidin

I imagine that he remembered AFTER dropping them (the lack of noise becomes a big hint)...
