If they added a new plane, IMHO the SE5a would be a better fit for the current lineup. A little boom and zoom with the ability to extend would not hurt but compliment the four planes. The Se5a is a natural fit against the Bristol F2b
because of the upward firing Lewis gun. That would be an awesome fight because the SE5a can catch the F2b and fire up from underneath.  :D :D

Another way to add another plane might be to add a variant of the Fokker D.VII. The Germans made a late war variant with a 185 hp BMW engine that was described as being able to hang on its prop. It may have been the best all around plane at the end of the Great War. After the Armistice with Germany they were all ordered to be destroyed.

Yes actually. What I was going for is IF we had, say 15 planes in WWI, it wouldn't bother me to add the Fokker E.III. But considering the planeset (4) we have now the 5th should be something that can somewhat compete. Nieuport 17, S.E.5a, and SPAD XIII (except for speed factor) cannot compete.

I'm +1 for all rides mentioned. WW1 room is a hoot and a BIG SAUTE to the guys who fly in there regularly. Any time I go in all I receive is courtesy and respect! Hmmmmmmm, maybe there's a lesson there for the MA pilots....nah, they'd never learn.....

I know what you will say...

But the next WWI airplane that is added should be the Albatros D.Va without a doubt. Although Ill admit no WWI airplane will ever be added. One could make a strong case for many fighters such as a SPAD XIII, Nieuport 17C, and S.E. 5a but the Albatros D.Va takes the cake without a doubt.

Flame on.

The Albatros may be the prettiest plane of WWI but you are correct HTC will not be spending resources on the WWI arena. Have you tried Rise of Flight? My computer does not like it but they do have a lot of WWI war birds to use and they seem not to all fly the same.
