Yes, it is GScholz.  I picked it up in Munich and spent a couple of weeks in Germany, Austria and Italy.  BMW has a tremendous European Delivery program!

You buy the car through a dealer in the US and pick it up at the BMW Welt in Munich and then drive it most anywhere in Europe.  BMW covers the insurance and shipment. When you're done there are thirteen locations in Europe where you just drive up and drop the car off.  BMW then ships it to the US along with the rest of its new cars headed to US dealers. If you do any damage to the car from curb rash on a wheel (not uncommon when driving through Medieval towns like Rothenburg) to a blown engine BMW completely repairs it and redelivers the car either to your dealer or to BMW's Performance Center in South Carolina (where you get to drive one of their cars on their track before driving off in your own car.) ALSO, (and here's the kicker) the car is cheaper through European delivery especially if you know how to negotiate.  My first euro delivery, a 2008 335i Coupe was $7,000 cheaper than MSRP and my M3 was $10,000 less.  In both cases my wife and I spent ten days in Europe and each trip was more than covered by the savings. I can't tell you though how priceless it is to drive your own new BMW through the Alps and up to 155mph legally on the Autobahn. The only downside is waiting a month or two for your car to reach you in the States after you're done (oh, and the .50 Cal option isn't available).  Check out the forums at bimmerfest.com and there's and entire section on the program and a link to the European Delivery program Wiki article. This is one thing to get off your bucket list ASAP because you'll want to do it more than once. I'll probably be doing my third next year.

That sounds awesome! I wonder if they have programs like this for other countries than in North America. Must check...
