Don't do it. Just don't.

I have a LONG set (3 threads as of now) for you to read....

If you want him to play something like that, get him into DayZ (I'm not saying this because I'm a fan of DayZ, but once you see the threads and how the developers have treated the WZ consumers you'll understand).

I mean the game got taken off of Steam, received a HORRIBLE score on ALL Fronts, is overrun with hackers with no real way to stop them (at least DayZ has private hives now), pay to win etc.

------------

Well they deleted the first thread but if you read through these, you'll see people laughing at (and quoting) stuff that is going on with WarZ.

Don't let him play WarZ.  It's a blatant rip off of DayZ by a developer with a very shady past.

Tell your 12 year old to wait until DayZ comes out as a stand alone

the game is concentrated on combat, not on shaking the screen.

This,

Tell your 12 year old to wait until DayZ comes out as a stand alone

DayZ standalone will be 100x better :aok

It is a fun time waster, but the developer is majorly shady and the promised expansions only revolve around a quick way to make a buck.    Don't forget that the game is overrun with hackers.  People are using ESP, aimbots, wall hacks, and a host of other things that make it downright unfair for anyone not using a cheat.

I have moved on for the most part while we wait for the Day Z stand alone.  If Day Z keeps the crap UI from Arma then I am going to be done with the zombie MMO's in their entirety.
I regret doing business with TD Computer Systems.

Let me know when somebody figures out that this new survival genre would be more fun when they start making it a Terminator, BattleStar Galatica Cylon, or just make up their own robots instead of using zombies.

I want "them" to shoot back and make it have more gunplay, and killer robots in a nuclear wasteland sound like a good idea to me.

MMOFPS, PVE, set in the Terminator universe?

Why do we not have this?

Wiley.

There was talk about developing a Terminator MMO a few years back after the release of Terminator Salvation when a studio called The Halcyon Company purchased the IP rights to make any games based on the Terminator franchise.  From what I've heard, it's been pretty much just talk as there really hasn't been an interest from Warner Bros. to pursue the project, let alone fund the project from Halcyon.

There was one about 18 years ago that we used to play on a friends super power 486 called Future Shock. For the time the graphics were breath taking and the gameplay was terrifying

You can even download it here. I have not tried it though so couldn't vouch for it working on modern machines
