So I'm working on my room mates computer and try to open the Nvidia control panel and it give me a 'non compatible' message?  WHAT?

Found this dated thread doing a search.  Your question was never very satisfactorily answered.

For my Alienware Aurora R-3, I changed out my two GT545s in SLI for a new single Asus GTX680 video card with 4GB video memory.  I just use one monitor, in 3D.  The GTX680 comes with a nVidia newbie titled, "GeForce Experience" utility that will optimize a game's specific setup.  I got a freebie game from NewEgg to benchmark the new video card: "Metro: Last Light"

This game gets nicely optimized by the GeForce Experience utility and finds the best update patch that it runs on.  Sadly, Aces High and DCS World does not come up.  I spent all of one day manually optimizing DCS_World, trial and error in the nVidia Control  panel and got it working nicely for the GTX680 using this driver http://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/62791
Aces High is not so lucky with that driver.

Aces High seems to be optimized best by unregulated ISP upload and download speeds like is what is found in Europe.  Sadly, to get 100mb/s download speed locally costs $100 per month and we still do not have fiberoptic lines, yet.  Maybe a business class dedicated line would be better as to ISP speeds.  I cannot play Aces High sufficiently to my satisfaction, wish I could; I like the sim.  DCS_World now runs great, and why I purchased the new card.

first off,  Dicho  says Thanks TC , the next thing he posts is that he was able to get Nvidia Control Panel "OPENED"

besides, he posted a 2nd question in his second post regarding screen resolution............. and from your posted reply, I do not see where you helped answer his 2nd question anywhere. All i see is a link posted to a bunch of utilitys a person can download and a website/messageboards a person can join if they desire to.... apparently you did not help him with his 2nd question, yourself.

Also, Dicho probably figured it out or was helped via PM ( personal Messages ), since no more posts were made to this particular thread from over 2 years ago....


I do have a question for you, Sir.  Why do you think the below quote from your post above:

Aces High seems to be optimized best by unregulated ISP upload and download speeds like is what is found in Europe.  Sadly, to get 100mb/s download speed locally costs $100 per month and we still do not have fiberoptic lines, yet.  Maybe a business class dedicated line would be better as to ISP speeds.  I cannot play Aces High sufficiently to my satisfaction, wish I could; I like the sim.

Aces High game does not require that a player needs to have a "100mb/s download speed"  or needs "unregulated ISP upload and download speeds like is what is found in Europe" , for a player to be able to play Aces High, satisfactorily sufficeint....
