Honor Flights

As you know, for the past few years, Sun Country has been involved with the Honor Flight program, a non-profit organization created to honor America's WWII Veterans for all their sacrifices.  In fact, the 100th Sun Country flight has been booked for this year.  Have you ever wondered what the trip is like in the eyes of a Veteran?

Hi, First Officer Chuck Skoglund at Sun Country, and I would like to invite you to a special screening of HONOR FLIGHT, a documentary about four WWII Veterans on their daylong journey to Washington.

I am involved with the Milwaukee WI Chapter of Honor Flight.  As we began our flights, we identified the need to capture on film the experience veterans have as they travel to Washington, DC to view their memorial.  The film begins with the phone call inviting them on the flight, to their tour of the Memorials in Washington, and the welcome home awaiting them at the end of the day.

Although based on the Milwaukee Chapter, the film captures the emotional experience ALL veterans have being a part of Honor Flight.  You, as a member of the Sun Country Team, will gain a better understanding of how your extra efforts with these flights make them SO special for the veterans.

I have been able to schedule a showing at the Carmike Theater, 1188 Helmo Ave North, Oakdale MN on March 13th at 7:00PM, as the film makes its way around the country.  You can buy a ticket at www.Tugg.com/events/2940, and view a trailer about the film.

Please consider spending an evening to get a better understanding of the power of HONOR FLIGHT, and the appreciation these veterans have, for all you have done to make these flights so special for them.

Thank You,
