Tried watching it when it started. Just wasn't my cup of tea. I actually like fantasy/medieval stuff, just not GoT.

Ok then :) but you're missing out on something truly great. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MCo_X4uEP_I

Your comparison is a bit off. A lot of womens clothes is designed by gay men.

Yeah, and I consider that a major problem... When todays "ideal" women have no tits and the arse of a boy.

Yes too much oestrogen has got into the water supply and the youth of today are struggling with their sexual identity.

Those of us born before 1973 are safe from any such problems :old:

Other people like High Fantasy in general but are disgusted by the overwhelming nastiness of GoT. I love fantasy to ESCAPE that garbage. If I wanted to watch that much selfish pettiness on TV I'd turn on C-Span.
If you thought the first cpl seasons were roungh wait til they get around to book 3 and book 4 thats when thisngs really get messy!

The episode last night was the one every Walking Dead fan had been waiting for.  It answered the question as to "what happened to Morgan"?  Now we know.  It will be very interesting to see how Morgan plays out in the series.  In the graphic novel he re-enters in a positive light, not so much in the series at least not yet.  We still have the prison battle to deal with and from the previews that will be starting next week.   :aok

The Walking Dead is the first series I've gotten in to since the first few seasons of Alias.  Before that it was Star Trek Next Gen back in the early 1990's (post Tasha Yar), and before that it was Magnum PI in the mid 1980's.  I'm told I need to get in to Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones. We'll see.  I'm typically not a TV viewer.

So you didn't get into BSG in the 00's?

I haven't watched any of the series, but I read the first three books. And that's the point where I decided I had enough with anything to do with the series (before that I was already getting increasingly turned off by GRRM's continued demonstration all his "knowledge" of Medieval combat is what he pulled out of a DnD sourcebook).
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

Game of thrones has no Elves which goes a long way in its favor. Its got dwarfs though... or at least a dwarf, but not the kind wielding a big axe and a Scottish accent. That dwarf is the best character there after Sean Bean was killed in the first season. I think the "Sharp's rifles" series was the only show where he was still alive when the credits were rolling...

Just started watching Vikings. Pretty good show, although not all that historically accurate, but that's to be expected.
