Shado, Revenge is a dish best served cold.
« on: March 05, 2013, 11:06:40 AM »
Last night I was fighting Shado in his c205 v my p47m.  We had a turn fight that was going up in Alt.   I had more E(I think).   I was looking out the window waiting for the 205 to stall.   His nose lifted in one last attempt to get a solution on me, and he got a single shot on my plane.   That shot when into the canopy for a pilot wound.     I hung around for another 30 seconds or so before deciding to head to base.   Generally speaking I'll give my opponent the chance to prove he's not a ho before I open up. Shado was on a direct line to my base, and I broke my rule and opened up first and we actually ended up colliding, which I'd say was 90% my fault.  I got the kill, but my engine was dead and I started a glide back to base.  I wasn't going to make it to base, but I was getting close enough for a ditch.   Shado re-upped his 205 and tracked me down and got me for his deserved kill right before I passed out or it the water.  Well done.
Don't tread on me.

This is a perfect example of what happens when you fail to orbit your own base at 25k

Between the lines reading:

After the pilot wound, I dove like crazy for the deck and outran him back to base because his 205 can't keep up with me.  While fading in and out I put it on autopilot because I was secure in mach .78 after my dive.  Someone else killed him and all he wanted was me so he upped and hunted and located and killed me.  Had I stayed in the fight with a pilot wound, I probably wouldn't have got him.

No it was just me and him, I got the undeserved ho/collision kill.   After the collision there was no dive, it was more like a float toward base.

"Had I stayed in the fight with a pilot wound, I probably wouldn't have got him."---Maybe, but I play the game to stay alive.  I rarely auger (on purpose anyway)and I always try to give myself a chance to land the plane.

He comes to this forum admitting he did something cheap and that he deserved what he got. If I was in Shado's position that HO would have REALLY angered me after such a good fight, but this would have been worthy of forgiveness in my book.

+ respect.
