Another thing with P-38G pilots.  While P-38G pilots were hanging around women like these in the Pacific

Says you.  The PTO 38G pilots were doing just fine thanks.  We took em along for back massages and to take care of the joystick for us on those long flights.


And you keep giving me reasons to post this photo of you in your 38J.  No wonder you need the wep.  You can barely see over the dash! :)

The funny thing about all these photos with women...the plane is such a looker the only way it passes is with a hot dame draped over it. That's like straping a pork chop to a kid so the dog with play with him. Just say'n...

It most certainly is.  HO'ing was apparently all the rage in the early days.

Actually, the '38 was 'sold' to the American public as a bomber interceptor.  The 'brick' was probably for defense against bomber gunners.
